Reason To Not Ride Off The Trail

Well I am sure that some of you are tired of hearing don't do this don't do that. Well guess what, here it is again, please do not ride off the established roads and or trails. No I am not an environMENTAList (I did spend two years cutting logs for a living and enjoyed it) I just believe in respecting our environment (which is possible with logging when done right). I also believe in respecting others who use and enjoy our outdoor environments. It is these other people that are pushing the issue to close our forests and state lands to off-road vehicles because they see some other idiots needless damage to the area.

You are not always alone when you ride. It may be hunting season, Joe hunter has finally drawn the tag of his life. After three hard weeks of scouting the opening day of  his hunt has arrived. Waiting patiently, silently and well dressed in camo has been in his preferred spot one and one half hours prior to daylight. The record book trophy animal appears, walks its normal path of travel towards the hunter. The hunter slowly gets into a good position and readies his weapon of  chioce. You come blasting through off road on your ATV not knowing about the hunter and spook the animal. All that hard work put in by the hunter has gone down the tubes his hunt is over. You see, that animal has been spooked so bad that it may be ten years before it walks that same path again. I know it has happened to me only with a truck instead of an ATV. Somebody is lucky they didnt get shot.

Just remember one of these days your gonna get it. You see even Mother Nature gets tired of it after a while. just take a look.
